The Indigo Sudbury Campus is modeled
on the Sudbury Valley School.
Located in Framingham, Massachusetts,
the Sudbury Valley School was founded in 1968 and
has been fully operational and highly successful ever
since.
The Sudbury
Valley School believes that:
• all people are curious
by nature
• the most efficient, long-lasting and profound
learning takes place when started and pursued by the
learner
• all people are creative if they are allowed
to develop their unique talents
• age-mixing among students promotes growth
in all members of the group
• freedom is essential to the development of
personal responsibility.
Today, more than twenty other Sudbury
Schools are operating around the world, three of which
are in Canada. There are also over ten new Sudbury
Schools presently being established.
